This Privacy Policy explains how Bazimat Drinks Pvt. Ltd. ("Company", "we", "us"), operating the Meztezz platform at meztezz.com, collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your name, email address, phone number, and restaurant details (name, address, GSTIN).

Operational Data

When your POS terminal syncs with our cloud, we receive order data, payment records, and menu information. This data is stored securely and used to power your analytics dashboard.

Usage Data

We collect information about how you use our Service, including login times, features used, and dashboard interactions, to improve the product.

Mobile Application (Mez Captain)

When you use our Mez Captain mobile application, we collect and store the following data locally on your device:

Authentication token — stored in encrypted device storage (expo-secure-store), used to maintain your login session with the POS Terminal. Cleared on logout or session expiry.
Device identifier — a randomly generated 32-character ID stored in encrypted device storage, used to identify your device for real-time order updates via WebSocket. Never shared with third parties.
POS Terminal address — the local network address of your POS Terminal, stored in encrypted device storage. Used solely to connect the app to your restaurant's POS system.
Cart and parked order data — active and parked orders (including customer name, phone, items, and notes for takeaway/delivery orders) are stored locally on your device using unencrypted device storage. This data is cleared on logout.

Data transmitted over the network:

Login credentials (staff username and PIN) are transmitted to your POS Terminal over your local network. PINs are not stored on the device after login.
Order data (items, quantities, customer details for takeaway/delivery) is transmitted to your POS Terminal to create orders and KOTs. This data travels over your local restaurant network, not the internet.
The app enforces HTTPS for connections outside your local network. Local network connections may use HTTP.

The Mez Captain app does NOT:

Collect or transmit analytics, usage statistics, or crash reports
Use advertising SDKs or tracking technologies
Access your contacts, photos, camera, microphone, or precise location
Send any data to third-party services
Collect device model, OS version, or hardware identifiers

When you uninstall the app, all locally stored data (tokens, device ID, cart data) is permanently deleted.

2. How We Use Your Information

To provide and maintain the Service
To display analytics and reports on your dashboard
To process subscription payments
To send important service-related communications
To improve the Service based on usage patterns

3. Data Storage and Security

Your POS terminal data is stored locally on your device. Cloud data is stored on secure servers in India. We use encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access to your data is restricted through role-based access controls.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We may share information with:

Payment processors (Razorpay) to handle subscriptions
Email providers for transactional emails
Law enforcement when required by Indian law

The Mez Captain mobile app transmits data only to your own POS Terminal on your local network. No app data is shared with us, third parties, or external servers.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

Access your personal data
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your account and associated data
Export your data in a standard format

6. Cookies

Our website uses essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
